Requirements to obtain
a Marriage certificate:
1) Two notarized letters (click
here to download )from Afghans residing in the United
States of America stating the:
- Date of Marriage
- Place of Marriage
- Husband''s name
- Wife's name
for the both people who are applying for a marriage certificate.
2) One Photograph (passport size which
is 2x2) for each person.
3) Copy of Afghan Documents (Passport,
Taskera or Afghan National ID or Afghan Marriage Certificate)
for the couple.
4) A money order or Cashiers check in
the amount of $50.00
payable to the Consulate General of Afghanistan NY.
5) Fill out the application form for Marriage
